Like a Kid in a Candy Store!!

I went to the International Make-up Artist Trade Show (IMATS) this past Sunday and wow…sooooo amazing!  My eyes were big and wide…even the lady who took my ticket said to me….”wow!  you’re excited…”   New lines, tried and true lines and lines I have never seen before.  I connected with old peeps, colleagues, and friends….It was a makeup extravaganza!!

So here’s a little back story…I had planned to go on Saturday and perhaps Sunday as well.  I got there bright and early Saturday (and generally, I don’t do early).  Apparently I wasn’t a big believer in the advance ticket sales, but ummm….I got there…and you guessed it…SOLD OUT!!!  Boo…tear.   When all that was done, I bought my ticket for Sunday.  But alas, Sunday was a wee bit more complicated in the AM…

Oooh La La…Sunday morning started at 8AM at the fabulous Langhem Hotel in Pasadena where I was working a Debutante Fashion Show fiesta!  Good times, great girls and fab makeup!

The very second I was done; I ran to my car with my gi-normous kit and dashed to IMATS!!!  And yes….it was INCREDIBLE!

So enough back story…As soon as I walked in the door, it was mayhem.  I couldn’t focus…my ADD was on fire.  There was makeup in every flavor…special effects, beauty, airbrush…there were products, supplies, master classes, AND a bar….seriously, the icing on the cake!

    Monique! It was so great meeting you today at the Mary Kay shoot! It’s almost 10pm and I’m a little sad that I really need to go wash my face to go to bed. My makeup looks so pretty I just don’t want to take it off! :)
